Collection of your Personal Information
Metro World Kids collects and uses your personal information to operate select functions of the Metro World Kids Web site and its internal operations, as well for program communication.
a) Identifiable information such as contact information including name, age, address, email and phone number
b) Sensitive personal information such as church affiliation, personal faith and prayer requests that may reveal sensitive personal data may only be collected when necessary and consented to.
c) General information such as anonymous demographic information which is not unique to you, such as postcode, age, preferences, interests and favorites according to Website usage
d) Device information is being collected by the use of “cookies” and Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. Metro World Kids hosts regular contests, in which we ask kids for contact information (like their e-mail address). This information is solely used to contact winners. Contact information collected for contests is deleted once winners have been confirmed. Participation in contests is open to all kids, registered or not.
What we use your information for:
Metro World Kids use of your information includes, but is not limited to:
a) To keep track of the web sites and pages visited within Metro World Kids in order to determine what services are the most popular; to then deliver a customized content and advertising to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
b) Metro World Kids may send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for program pick up as requested by the user.
c) Occasionally we may contact you through one of the means mentioned above in order to communicate special events or activities, or changes to scheduled programming.
Metro World Kids web site uses Wix.com as a web site building platform. Wix is only considered as a “processor” that stores and processes collected data from their user’s web sites. Disclosure of personal information
Metro World Kids does not collect personally identifiable information from any user who is 12 or younger.
Registration & membership
Registration requires users to create an anonymous identity that does not include their full name. They provide limited contact information: Username and email address. The email address is only used to log in and to contact users when necessary.
Users that are children, are required to enter their birthday. Only children 10 years and older are able to register. For users 12 and under, we only collect their First name, parent/guardian name and email address. This information is only used to seek their parental consent. The Parent/guardian receives a confirmation email to which they must respond in order to activate the child’s account. Parent email addresses are retained in our database for future contact.
Accounts not activated within 21 days are deleted from our database. Under no circumstances do we market products or offerings from third parties to our users by email.
Metro World Kids secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Metro World Kids secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
Metro World Kids does not sell, rent or lease its user’s personal information to third parties. Metro World Kids does not use or disclose sensitive personal information such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.
Metro World Kids Web sites will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Metro World Kids or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Metro World Kids; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Metro World Kids, or the public.
